I've been using that DNS address pretty much since I've had WB which is 2 years. I've never really had any problems getting to any site. I've gotten my advertised speed 90% of the time for both up and downloads. I've hit the download 80% threshhold once, but that was thanks to a new PS3 and 2 new vista ultimate 64bit gaming rigs I've built (lots of updates and drivers).

Wildblue's DNS servers have been acting up since February 29, 2008, when they switched to Google Mail. For example, my.wildblue.net returns two IP addresses, 216* is valid and the other is bogus:

Since mid December using the proxy in your gateway slows download speeds but using a proxy in another gateway restors the download speed to the advertised speed. Maybe the DNS servers have is bass ackwards too.

Although he wasn't able to resolve my problem, he was "very intrigued" with my situation and stated that it may be the start of a larger problem. If you are a Wildblue user in South Carolina, North Carolina, or Virginia, would you please try to access the following web sites and report back here to let me know what happened:
