The Tom Green show was first on public access in my area, long before he ever had any exposure outside of Ottawa. Whatever your opinion of his so called "humour", he was given a chance that he would never have received otherwise. It's a good way to keep television from becoming a bland monolith with every show adhering to the same tired old ideas.
