We had a cat that jumped into our lives on the grounds of my daughter's high school. He was white, muddy and flea infested.
We adopted him, took care of his hygiene needs and he turned out to be one of the nicest and smartest cats we ever owned.
To your point, in his previous owned life, he must have liked car rides because any time he got in the car, he immediately jumped into the back window to watch the sights.
We never routinely let him do this for safety purposes but would occasionally drive him around the neighborhood just to let him enjoy.
We had him for 12 years and he passed away in 2002 after turning diabetic for 5 years. He is sorely missed. |

My Moe died two years ago and never got another. Last night on TV I heard a cat cry out and without even thinking I called out "What's wrong?" like I used to with her. That one got me when I realized.

Shelter Me gives stray cats a fresh start
ORLEANS — Melborn is one lucky cat.
He survived life as a stray on the streets of Worcester. He escaped a death sentence in an animal shelter because a cat rescuer gave him a temporary home.
Last week, the 3-year-old tabby cat started his third life as a barn cat on an Orleans farm.
