In case I fat finger the mouse and post to the forum instead of reply to the thread.
In case I post something so mind boggling off topic, even I'm amazed.
In case the guy above me in the tread just made the same point I did and I don't like him very much.

I certainly see a "hey mods" link on my posts.
Maybe you want one for the reply box, where you are replying. But until you have completed the reply and posted it, there is nothing for mods to see so no point in a "hey mods" there. |

I guess this isn't a feature request anymore.

Make sure you click Flat normal. That screen shot shows the posts are in Full mode.

He's not using the standard "flat" view. See the screen shot. In the flat view, there is no line connecting the posts.

Well, not exactly.
I've tried every combination, including logging in and out different ways. Nothing has had any effect. Same results on 3 different computers so far.
I do appreciate the efforts.

You're running FireFox so an extension you use may be the problem. Try the following:
Disable all extensions then restart FireFox. Then make sure the post view is set to Flat/normal. If you can then view the Hey Mod link and the other link at the bottom of the posts your problem is an extension.
To find out which extension enable them one by one and view threads till you're not able to see the Hey Mod link. Then the last extension you enabled is the problem.
