Well she wants to refurnish this particular PS2.She doesn't want to throw it away. But it seems this may ultimately come to that.

 Or if shes intent on making that particular one work, buy a couple dead ones off ebay or something and use them for parts.

You could probably even get some donated to you if you put an ad up somewhere. I'm sure theres a ton of people with dead ps2's and even working ones they dont want anymore. I still have one of the original ones sitting here collecting dust that I already sold all the games to.
