Hello,
I have parrallels installed on the new Leopard. It worked OK for a while. Maybe 2-3 wks. Then it crashed. And now , I cannot even get to the delete file in order to try and delete/Re install. Any help would be apreciated. |

| What exactly is the problem you're having? Are there any error messages?
If you download the latest Parallels disk image from their website, it includes an Uninstaller. You could run that and reinstall parallels if the application itself become corrupted. |

Doesn't sound like you need to delete the Windows install/image. You just need to get the application that creates the environment that Windows runs in fixed which the uninstall and reinstall should do. |

| reply to Thinkdiff The version I purchased has a Un Installer. But, When I try to open anything in Parrallels. I get a Error, That says: The application parrallels quit un expectedly. What would you like to do? Ignore, Report to apple, Or reset. I cannot get to the Un-Installer.
And yes , I have tried the reset several times. I cannot even open Parrallels explorer from applications.
Any Ideas? |

| You can also download the latest version right from here: »www.parallels.com/en/download/trial/desktop/
Also a direct link which might not work for very long |

| reply to TripleT Ok, I have decided that my MacBook Pro does not WANT any XP OS associated with it's HDD. I use the original Parallels install disk to delete parallels from my Mac. I then Re-installed it 6-8 times. With the same result every time. I have decided that Parallels is a POS !!! And I do not need it that bad anyway. It just sucks to purchase Parallels and The XP Pro OS. And not be able to use it. And yes, I know I can use boot camp. But my daughter has Vista on her Macbook. And has had problems with it also. |

| reply to TripleT I run xp on my MBP and my wife runs it on her iMac. I use fusion, she runs boot camp direct, and neither of us have any problems. About 5 guys in our IT department also run xp under parallels and they have no problems.
How does this solve your problem? It doesn't really, but I felt like posting it to show that there is no inherent flaw in running a windows OS on a mac. -- I'd take the time to insult your intelligence, but you probably wouldn't get it. |
