| St. Peters MO, Linksys routers can't get IP from modem 2/21 Yesterday morning I was unable to get an IP address from the modem. Reset back to defaults all the normal stuff, different cables, etc. All my computers worked fine on the router except couldn't get to the internet. I thought might be router, HOWEVER came to work today and guy in next cube has exact same problem at same time. Do we know if charter put in new config or something on Wed. night? | |

| No rebooted modem many times, both me and the other guy with same issue. Interesting when I called charter support they said there had been 3 or 4 like that this morning. They thought it was a power surge  that just mysteriously struck interface for routers I guess  | |

Saint Peters, MO | My buddy went home and tried his again at lunch. No luck. He went an bought a new one but didn't have time to try it. (linksys) I will take mine to my neighbors who have SBC and try to verify if router has issues tonight or tomorrow. | |

Saint Peters, MO | unplug the modem and router. Plug the modem back in first and wait until it syncs. Then, plug the router back in. Should start working. | |

Thanks, I will give this another try when I get home. I have the router unplugged at the moment to take over and test with my neighbors DSL,, but will try this as soon as I get home. | |
