Re: Welcome kits

I had my phone service installed yesterday - which went very smoothly, and they didn't leave one then either. I was concerned about the length of time it would take for everything to function properly, and I was extremely pleased to note that 911 service worked right away. I ended up having to call it about an hour and a half after the installation was finished because my grandmother had a seizure. Kudos to Mediacom, because I've heard horror stories about other providers and 911 service not functioning and when I picked up the phone to dial that was the first thing that went through my mind.

I've found very useful PDF files on the Mediacom website for the telephone service, and I was able to google the manual for the new modem with no trouble. It would be nice if manuals were provided for the equipment officially - even a PDF would be nice. They had a physical manual for the digital cable remote which I haven't bothered to crack yet. I'm still exceptionally pleased with my service to date.

There is also a Phone Guide that should have been provided when the phone service was installed.
