anon : Luxxi,
I've been trying to figure out how to do the same thing. I remember this being publicized as an option when the free AOL first came into being. However, I found the article below on AOL Help. It doesn't sound like it's possible any more. I wondered if it would be possible if I paid the $9.99 or whatever it is to have the shortest paid membership possible, then cancelled it. That way I could have some customer service help. But I'm not sure I'm willing to do that now. It sounds like it just isn't available any more.

"About the SOSA program
SOSA stands for “Spin off Sub Account.” Though this program is no longer available, it provided the capability to take an existing secondary screen name and use it to create a separate AOL® account. This program was available when a single account had multiple users and one of those users wished to have their own account with their current screen name."

anon : on your primary account, click the mail icon at top of page , go to "check other mail" you can set up an email account there but you can also set up an account where you can choose your own names like "sue@mymusic.net. to get to that web site when you open up "check other mail" down on the left hand side you will see "find a personalized address" click that on for some neat mail options.
hope this helps
scott
