| Public ownership The public bonds seem to work, people can invest in their own and their family's future. If a city expects to grow, which most will because of population expansion, they need to have infrastructure developed to support that.
By the time I'm able to retire, I hope to be able to move away from city's and still be able to get a good connection. City's are getting too crowded. | |

4 edits | Re: Public ownership It's turning into urban sprawl, the County has jurisdiction over several city's. If you go 2 miles east from Home Depot/Best Buy, you get dial-up.
ATT/Pacbell along with the city/county and the university UCSC put fiber along most the main streets in the late 80's. My street has fiber. Best I can get off it is 5000/500 plus overhead ADSL. | |
