| Don't know about the city council thing, but the citizens of our fair city have no on but themselves to blame for Singletary. There were articles published prior to the election about his traffic/driving issues. He lucked into the top spot on the ballot and, as predicted, won despite his record. Sad, but I don't think there was anything shady about his election. Just people not paying attention to what they're doing in the booth.
I do have faith that Nutter really is cut from different cloth than the past few mayors. He may not be able to do all the things this city really needs, but I don't think it'll be from lack of trying or being too busy lining his own pockets. The real question is, will the voters pay attention to who's standing in his way and vote them out when we get the chance. |
