Not too shabby. I would make one improvement, however. Why not go the extra mile and throw in a QAM tuner that is CableCard compatible for the digital broadcasts? That would be even nicer!

that would be nice however there is one problem with that as Cablelabs licensed out the cablecard specs for pc based tuners to microsoft because vista had DRM built into it. I believe the slingbox is based of some form of linux basically making no chance in hell we will ever see any cablecard support.

West Boylston, MA		 New cable boxes are having cablecard slots and cards required from the FCC I believe. These STB are running on linux.
