| [Modem] Westel E90-6100 15 from Verizon
Hi, i've moved from Los Angeles (Verizon) to San Diego (AT&T) and I have started my DSL service with AT&T a few days ago. I have two modems (Westell 2100 and a 6100) that I previously had from Verizon. I want to know if the little 6100 (E90-610015-06)router(modem) will work with my New AT&T service. I don't really want to purchase another modem if I don't have to. Does anyone have any experiance with this? Your help would be greatly appreciated. |

1 edit | Either modem should work with AT&T. You might have to set the VPI/VCI to 0/35, but I think Verizon uses that setting too.
The modem that you would receive from AT&T is free after rebate except for shipping and sales taxes and is supported by their phone support. With the Verizon modems, phone support will not help you much. They just don't have training on those.
I'd suggest getting the free AT&T basic modem (I think it is an offer you can't refuse) and either use it or save it as a back up to put on line when having problems. |
