| I am not entirely sure that I am following what you are saying, but to get the ip address of your router, you could run a tracert. This finds the path a packet takes to travel between your computer, and some other computer on the internet. To do this, open up command prompt (start/run/cmd/ok). Then, type "tracert google.com" (without the quotes), hit enter, and it should be about the second one (at least it is on mine). Eg:
Mine is 10.188.84.225 in this example.
