| I just signed up for Bell Sympatico (B.S.)
I wish I had known about this forum sooner. For the past 2 years I've had a cable connection and before that it was dial-up, so I'm new to DSL. I wasn't aware that DSL had a "bandwidth restriction" (max. download of 60 GB/month when you sign up for Bell's 7 Mbps service at $49.95/month). I tend to download a lot so I'm already worrying about my quota being exceeded. Also, my speed is nowhere near the 7 Mbps as per told over the phone. I conducted a speed test at 2wire.com and I'm getting 1.4 Mbps. (When I was with Mtn Cable I'd get a result of 5.0 Mbps.) I gonna try to cancel this service and go with Acanac (unlimited bandwidth DSL at $18.95/month + VOIP at $9.95/month). Can't beat that! Does anyone know what kind of response from Bell I can expect for canceling after only one week of service? I haven't signed a contract and everything was done over the phone. Plus, I wasn't informed about the "Upto 7Mbps" nor the bandwidth restriction. Thanks |
