You are so right - as a musician, I gladly support artists I like by buying their product. But when I throw away $16.00 on a CD on the basis of one song I've heard on the radio, and then discover that that one song was the only one on the whole CD that was: in that style/produced at that quality/any good, I get very angry. So now I download a few before I go plunk down my money. It's sometimes our only defense against fraud by greedy record executives.
