Running AOL OpenRide on a Dell Inspiron 4100. Windows XP.
Everything was OK until this weekend. No new software loaded. AOL OpenRide will open up and automatically log on (as it's set to), tell me "you've got mail", then abruptly says "goodbye". Can't find any virus/bug/BS anywhere. No registry changes.
Tried downloading AOL 9.0 and when I try to use it, it tells me "low memory, close programs, etc. No other programs are going. I check the running processes to make sure there isn't something unusual. Nothing there.
I even tried going back to a restore point before the issue, and it's still happening.
Anyone have any ideas. Computer is for my wife. |

As per the new update AOL is no longer providing support and updates for the AOL OpenRide and its been replaced by the new version called AOL Helix which is in a Beta version.

My friend, all mailing softwares have their own drawbacks..and what I can suggest you right now is to use the AOL 9.1 which is the most developed version of AOL. But you can also try the old 8.0 version of AOL which is considered to be the best of all the version to have been released till date.
