Just could not stand the heat any more,so I headed up the Kern River north of Lake Isabella.Very nice area,was surprised by the volume of water in the river this late in the year.

Any how found many deep (> 8') holes to swim and the water temp was cold enough to be real soothing with out being so damn cold that it's painful to be in.
