Re: Need replacement part for Aveo 2007 1.6L

I like it very much, it's powerful with just me inside, and it's alright with having cargo or passengers.

The overall interior feels economic but at the same time provides a nice look and the buttons, and switches feel firm and do not feel lose like some cars I have driven which the button although in place wiggels.

The Aveo is also pretty quick but runs high on the RPMs because it's a small engine. A/C freezing cold even with a UV index of 104F, engine oil remains cleaner than most cars I have seen, oil looks new even after 1500K miles.

The car automatically locks your seat belt depending on road conditions, such as rough cornering, and the seats are comfortable enough to sit in for at least four hours non-stop.

Highway I drove from Miami to Naples back in forth with just one tank.

390 miles on one tank, and I had a little still left over from the trip, city driving terrible mileage of at least 250-275 miles per tank.

Overall space is roomy even for a 6+ft individual, and has enough space in the back for leg room and space for the passengers in the back.

Storage seems like a mind game, it looks big and it is. But when you close the trunk and look the car from the back, you swear it's a small trunk, but hardly from it.

Overall sound system on LS (base model) is pretty good for the average joe, an audiophile though will say it's terrible. Putting it max and the speakers quality drop dramatically, but it's usually good for hearing rock, and rap (my passengers like that).

The only problem so far, is just the person driving it "me".

The Aveo has taken a beating with about 14K miles in only a few months, the manual provides plenty of passing power, as the engine slowly improves as your mileage climbs. Plenty of torque from 2500RPM too 6500RPM.

If it makes you feel any good, the tires spin when you are hauling ass in second gear on dry pavement. Which I on rare occasions do when I am entering the highway as I accelerate to 75mph.

The internal molding is simply plastic and mostly snap on, so it has plenty of room for customization. The power steering is very helpful while driving slowly like say trying to get out of a parking lot, but you need to use more force as you drive faster, which I find is actually pretty good, because it provides that hard steering wheel when you are driving fast and gives you better control as you drive over uneven roads.

Braking system does not include ABS in the LS model but it provides excellent braking regardless.

But, I think I made a very good choice and I really like my Aveo, and it has held up to someone who just pounds on cars for 8 hours straight with constant driving and in rough conditions.

I am sure most people drive too and from work and will be at around 4K miles while I am at 14K.

I think it's fair enough to say that everything is alright, and still working just fine, just would like a replacement cabin air filter
