| Sympatico Total Internet is SLOWER
Was talked into changing over to this by a non English speaking support worker. Could not fully understand what he was selling even though I got him to repeat it. In desperation, I agreed. Now that I am supposedly on this 7 megs, I find it is really SLOWER!!
I do not download movie, trailers, or play games.
Please help!! I do not have the time or the patience to try Sympatico Support services again!! |

| reply to keebee1 keebee1, it would help us more if you actually explained the problem. What speeds are you getting now and what did you get before? Can you post your line stats? You might have just been set to the wrong profile. A problem easily solved. -- Argue opinions using facts. Not facts using opinions. |

@teksavvy.com | reply to keebee1 This is simple you obviously went from fastpath to interleave when you switched from highs speed to sympatico total internet. If they put you on adsl2+ there's an extra 20 millisecond delay thus the term interleaved. |

join:2004-05-26 | reply to keebee1 does this mean there is always at least 20ms to first hop under adsl2+? even on the fastest (or no) interleave? |

@bell.ca | When I used to be far from the CO, my ping would be around 10ms, now that I am on the remote and on the higher profile my ping is around 20ms. Both on the fast path. |

| My new 2wire modem is FUBAR right now so I can't check till the new, new one arrives(dial up tonight). I was usually anywhere from 9 - 16ms on my first hop with 10Mb Optimax. Whether my profile was interleaved or fast is still up in the air. It reported as adsl2+ fast on my old 6520 and on the 2wire 2700, but I was told here in the forum that they are all interleave profiles. Have to run.....only 10 hours of dial up per month.....lol.
