| Re: Need replacement part for Aveo 2007 1.6L See, I knew you will find some way to screw me over mattmag.
"Oh, because bobby did not properly install the cabin filter and although a OEM part we are not responsible."
Yet we are going to charge you 50 bucks to replace the filter because you can't win, even though a dipstick can do it and only takes 30 seconds.
ASE certification, where we are trained to screw you over.
I can understand now why a guy drove his Ford Escape right into the stand of salesmen in 2005 at Ford of Miami completely destroying the sales floor and closing them down for a few days.
He is in prison right now, but I bet he feels like he is in heaven.
This is why I do my own repair, my own oil change and so forth. Because the dealer will do anything to milk you and the insurance company, which is why I hate dealers.
I can't even trust them with a darn air filter, because for some reason "the part has not arrived yet" and turns out the dipstick who did the order never really placed it in the first place.
It's complete bull that you can't go to like some GM service office and ask them to ship a part to your address and so forth, why must I deal with the damn dealer.
If I need a freaking oxygen sensor, I want to walk in, ask for the part and get out.
How the hell a dealer won't have a part for my brand new Aveo when I had my Mazda MPV they had a turn signal module from 1993 in stock.
I am just ranting here, I am just fed up with dealers and I am not attacking you personally mattmag, it's just one of those things that you know is wrong, it shouldn't be that way and I don't care if I must pay a little bit more if I want to purchase the part directly from GM of Korea.
Of course if you know of some number I can call to buy parts directly and have them shipped to my home through a international shipping carrier that can help too.
But I am already taking my chill pills driving too the dealer.

Your oxygen sensor that you want may not be a commonly requested item, it may be on backorder, or it may be discontinued; there is nobody in the world that stocks every part for every application. We have 100k part numbers I believe and we're one of the biggest there is.
Your Mazda's turn signal switch might have fit multiple vehicles or is a very common failure, the Aveos share no parts with any other GM except for the Mark of Excellence emblems on the fenders.
You will never be able to purchase anything directly from GM, this seems like a silly wish. Looks like you are going to have to enjoy backorder status with everyone else. -- Learn, laugh, love, live.

| Re: Need replacement part for Aveo 2007 1.6L I don't see how it's a silly wish as it will eliminate the dealer altogether.
I don't need some dipstick to install it for me, I just want the part, if I can't service my own vehicle they will never in their life get my business, and they can shove their half a month backorder up their arse.
Because I know I will eventually find it from someone who will have it ready at max a week and simply charges me for the part itself. I don't care if I must drive 30+ miles to reach that location, I can always arrange a sales manager to run the debit card and have him ship the part too me through 2nd day air using DHL which actually never really takes 2 days but actually a day or a few hours, depending on locations.

| Re: Need replacement part for Aveo 2007 1.6L That's a rare item so not likely to be in stock.
The best you can do is to ask a Chevy dealer to run the part number on its locator system. They can see if other dealers in your area have it on the shelf, then call to verify. That way you could still get your cabin filter without waiting for a backorder to arrive. -- Your actual mileage may vary. Operators are standing by.

| Re: Need replacement part for Aveo 2007 1.6L I will this Monday when the service department is open. Hopefully somewhere in the U.S they will have it in stock and have it shipped overnight.
But I need to worry about other matters than just a cabin filter, so I will hopefully get this all cleared by tomorrow. But experience tells me a week.
