Turftech : I have been running Geolanders on my 4-runner for 3 years now. I should say that they are now due to be replaced! I may look at another tire depending on what comes close. Aside from cupping due to what turned out to be bad shocks (replaced with Rancho 9000's) and a tenancy to be a bit noisy, I would say they are a good tire... Just be aware that anything below 80% becomes a very ordinary tire! When mine were new I could go anywhere. Once they wore down they performed rather poorly.

Just my 2 bits.
--
Serving doughnuts on another planet.

Yokohama Geolander ATS tires?

NanDog : K, I'm due for new tires on my '95 Nissan 4x4 truck. I also have a $100 gift certificate for Discount Tire that I won at a benefit event.

Looked at all the 31 x 10.50/15 tires they sell and first wanted the BFG LongTrails but they aren't available in this neck of the woods.

The very personable salesperson said "Well, how 'bout the Geolanders? I think they're a better tire than the BFGs."

Plus he will give me the $123 per tire Yokos for the $103 BFG price (I haven't told him about the gift certificate ;)) I have an appointment in a couple of days.

So anyone running these tires?

I've read the reviews on the Discount Tire website and also on Epinions. Most reviews are pretty good but, as you know, you get folks who also think they're the AntiChrist incorporated into a tire! Most negative reviews said they wore out quickly and as that happened the tire became extremely noisy.

Opinions appreciated!

TIA!
--
See ya across the Rainbow Bridge, my good and faithful friend!
