Real Apple fans don't buy 1st generation products out of sheer fact their QA on things is pretty bad.

This is true. Very true. But then that doesn't address the issue of hyping an overpriced product and then cutting its price 30% in well under 90 days while telling your early buyers to bugger off, now does it?

Saunter over to ATM and watch some of the regulars (who didn't buy but glad-handed everyone that did) now talk pure trash to their brethren complaining about a 30% price drop just a bit more than two months post-launch.

It was fine for the stock holders to encourage the lines when they formed, and yet somehow it's also OK now to chide the buyers as "buttmonkeys" AFTER they've been screwed for doing what they encouraged them to do in the first place!

Apple Inc. has become a window into everything wrong with our outsourced identity, cult of personality, Chinese gadget, stock-driven consumer society.

Read a few threads in 'All Things Macintosh' and witness what can only be described as totally pathological neo-consumerist behavior.
