| I believe that is a P4 cpu and it needs a fan that can cool ti down. The P4's were not a cool cpu - they were VERY hot. Only way to get away from a fan altogether is to go water cooling or else your only other choice (assuming the airflow is good in the case and ambient rooms temps are within reason) is to get a fan that runs at slower speeds but moves more air - like a Panaflow fan. |

Well you cannot run Presscott fanless but there many things you can do to make PC silent as possible. I sugguest you head over to SPCR( »www.silentpcreview.com/ )and ask this question in the forums and start reading the information onsite. |

I have a 3.0 Prescott that I keep cool with a Thermalright XP-90C and a SilentCat 9cm fan. Very quiet!
