Re: Post a photo of something you ate today Grilled Cheese!!
9-Grain bread, American & Cheddar cheeses, Corned Beef and Chile de Arbol/Onion powders. Fried up in Butter in the cast iron skillet for a perfect crunch.
Yeah, I'd eaten one before thinking to take a pic...too yummy. |

drewAutomaticPremium join:2002-07-10 Port Orchard, WA kudos:6 | Forget the bread with seeds and you've got a delicious sandwich. |

| reply to SueS Here's some Pretty Pepper Pics....but not just any Pepper...
This is "Pepper Pepper" by TheHippySeedCompany in AU.
My buddy Neil sent me some of this to try out, and it's a real kicker...plus I got to take nifty pix:
The Pepper & My Mini Grinder
 Now that is some Peppercorns
 The resulting pepper...cool color eh?
It's a lovely peppercorn on its own, but infused with the deadly fire of the Naga Chile it becomes something far more interesting.

He also makes some of the Freekin' Best Hot Sauces Ever. Tell 'em Quaddy sent ya!

Slow-roasted Boneless Top Sirloin Roast I got this 5-pound beauty, rinsed it well and rubbed it with kosher salt, pepper, and granulated garlic and let it sit in the fridge overnight. Then, I pulled out out again and put it in a ziplock bag with a spicy marinade of soy sauce, worstershire, sriracha and more garlic. Let that sit another day.
Now, it's getting seared in the cast iron with some EVOO.

Rubbed again with habanero horseradish and other stuff, topped w/ some onions and let rip at 250F until done at aprox. 145-150F internal. It was tented with foil part of the time so as not to get tooo done on top...OLD oven only has one giant bottom gas burner and has to be lit with a match.

Yay, it's Done. Took about 5 1/2hrs but boy is it worth it. Let it rest...then sliced this bad boy...ZOMG!

LOOK AT THIS PERFECTION!

Now *this* is tender beef. Pulled apart with my fingers..and this is dry-roasted in an oven...not a pot roast.

Amazing flavor and texture...it's like veal.
SKoL !!!

Of course, we need cheesesteak toaster oven pizza!
French bread spread with my spicy homemade sauce, sprinkled w/ mexican oregano, pepperjack, mushrooms, the sliced and chopped roast, onions, mozz, and some Chile De Arbol/Sea Salt/Black Pepper to add some Zing. Pan spread with EVOO to give a nice flavor and crunch.
