 | Zywall 35 and Westell 327W with Static IP DSL from Verizon Hello all, Hope this is right forum, I had DSL Line from Verizon with Static IP address which work fine with the Westell 327W, recently I purchased a Zywall 35, I ran into the problem where I can't get the Zywall 35 to handle the PPPoE after I switch the Westell into bridge mode. Everything pretty much straight forward when config the Zywall 35 WAN1 port to handle PPPoE (User name, password, static IP provided by Verizon). Any suggestion? I'll try to provide more details as I can. Thanks |

 | I tried that too, but the Zywall doesn't seem to pickup any IP configuration from Verizon. The reason I enter fixed IP address in the Zywall because it was in the Westell VC configuration. Thanks |

 | You say you entered a static ip because that is what the westell modem/router used. But are you actually a Verizon business DSL customer with an assigned static IP? Or a residential customer with a dynamic ip, which just happened to be set up in the westell as static?
If your a residential customer, chances are the IP would have changed when you shut down the Westell and reconfigured it. Thus the old static entry won't work.
If it is a true static IP, I'd call Verizon to verify all the needed info, including the IP and the gateway IP.

 | I had Verizon Business DSL Line, and all the IP address entries given to me by Verizon Tech when they setup that up. Thanks |
