said by rwarrin99 :I live in Arvada, Co and got a notice syaing it doubled but I never got over 8M/bps at speedtest.net like everyone else uses on here so I called comcast and they say it should be double and speedtest.net is unreliable for test thought they have no advice on where to get a accurate test and there was nothing they could do. So at least for Comcast still does not deliver what they say you should be getting. I am up the road from you here in Broomfield and have the Std Speed of 12/2 now from what i was told every one here in the Denver metro area has been upgraded.

| reply to Sidar said by Sidar :On a related note does anyone in Vermont, specifically St. Albans have the 12/2 speeds? I got provisioned, and seem to have speeds set at 6.6/1.1. Better than my old DSL but still I was under the impression that 12/2 was readily available here. I have had those speeds for well over a year now in the Bristol, VT area. In fact, I have been averaging 16 or higher/2 in speed tests! |

| reply to sortofageek Hello,
Anyone in the Hiram, GA/East Paulding area notice increased speeds as of yesterday? I seem to be getting downloads between 13 and 17Mbps from newsgroups. I power-cycled my sb5100 modem on Monday morning, but I can't see what the config file says. |

| Just down the road from you, out by Sun Valley Beach. DOC3 upgrades goin on all around us. Been on Blast here since July and Comcast has recently swept the neighborhood replacing the taps on the poles. Powerboost usually gets me anywhere from 22-24M dl, UL varies. I have had it as high as 29M. Nvidia is my usual test site when they have video card updates avail, will boost to about 3M+ and then hold at about 2-2.2M when steady, puts it right at the Blast tier.
Would like to to see the channel updates take place on the TV side though, chart on website has been out of sync for quite sometime. Was advised by an insider updates for the digital migration should be taking place this month sometime, but who knows.
Peace! |

| Hello Canezoid,
Yeah, I know of someone around the Florence Rd area that had the speed upgrade a few months, it just took a long time to get around to the Hiram area. How can I tell if it's DOC3 or the regular 12/2 / 16/2 upgrade. Also, do you have DOC3 modem or should any modem (SB5100) do for now?
I only have basic (very basic) cable tv service, since I use satellite, so I don't keep up on their channel updates.
Thanks |

I've noticed my upload has more than doubled this weekend. No new info in my modem though. Regular 6/2 package.

16/2 In Davis, California. I was only getting 10/2 until there was an outage over the weekend and now my DL speed increased and UL speed doubled. |

Wow, we've had Blast! up here in Mendocino County for a few months now, I guess we aren't dead last in Comcast upgrades after all -- You've got to stand for something, or you'll fall for anything. |

I was on the 6/1 plan, but this morning I've had sustained 12/2 speeds. Haven't heard anything, so it could just be testing.
There's a sustained download from dl.tv. My friend downloaded a file from my server and he received 250KB/s steady (upload speed test). |

It hasn't dropped for 5 minutes now so it's definitely not powerboost. Seems we may have been upgraded to 12/2 here. Anyone else in the area seeing this?
edit: I should have scrolled further up. Mt Joy and Paradise postings above seem to confirm it. |
