| maybe what speeds they offer is faster but not acceptable at all. below is a speed test in ny where i live and i have OOL boost which is 30 down and 5 up and look what i get. 16 down 3 up which sucks.
i'd pay for business ool but it cost more than double with static ips and the speed is the same as regular boost with the same speed problems. |

| Business OOL has the same policy as of home users. Just because your business doesn't mean your speed would be higher. All business is really that you can have a tech at your home within 2-4 hours. That's all really.
And again, Optimum Online does not cap, they Throttle. There's a difference. Now if you guys want to be stubborn and not know what the differences are, hey that's your problem.
And it's funny how the people that do get throttled, 97% of the time, they are doing something illegal. Uploading Warez etc etc etc. So why all the complaining? And the trained by monkeys comment, how uncivilized are you really? Typical talk from low class people. =) . I'm happy. For you guys not reaching those speeds
1) reset the modem
2) bypass the router (stop being stubborn)
3) call in, might be a signal issue
4) make sure you dont have p2p or spyware running in the background of your pc
5) replace modem
now if your throttled, tuff cookies. If you were uploading warez then you deserved it (which no one will ever admit to) |

| wow you are pretty rude but whatever you say must be right cause your OOL tech. i dont upload alot i dont use bit torrent or stuff like that i just play some games and surf the web and i never get close to 30/5 so what do you have to say about that since i dont use my connection much? it must just be the crappy service then huh ?
this is how much i uploaded and download this year so far which is nothing so your wrong and we are right about the crappy service.

DO NOT use flash based tests on ool boost, they dont seem to work at all. If I use the normal speakeasy test i get like 20/2.6 but when i use the java based test from this site I get 24+ or so down and 4.6 up. |

1 edit | My line was messed up and now i get over 30 mb and 4.5 up. If it stays close to this then i have to give it to OOL for the speed.
edit THEY MESSED IT UP AND I GET CRAP SPEEDS AGAIN |
