Well the call was for giving them my mac address on the modem for them to activate the service. I do this to keep from having to install their software on my system, so the call had to be done. The call was not made because the modem was not functioning.
In regards to my review being hard to understand, all I can say is I dont understand what it is you dont understand? Seems to read pretty fluid to me. |

| Ah, yes. I'm not a fan of their software either. Hope everything is working for you ok now
As for me not understanding, I understood it fine. I just meant that it's all in one big block. That was what made it hard to understand, in my opinion. |

| Seems to be working ok so far. I just had such a bad experience with them when they switched from Comcast over to Time Warner. I think I got way spoiled by Comcast.
I have several close friends that are in Iraq at the moment so a solid connection is very important to me. It's the only way I am able to communicate with them.
Thanks for asking though |

Thanks for asking though I'm glad to hear that it's working for you okay now. I've had the exact opposite with Comcast. When they switched from Time Warner to Comcast, I had quite a few picture problems with my TV and my modem went wonky.
Instead of trying to explain it all here, I'll just post the link to my review and you can see for yourself.
I know what you mean about being spoiled. Before I moved here and for several months being here, I had their speed package for several months and got a constant 8.88 on the download. A little after that, I took my computer and for some long due repairs. When I got it back, I was finally on the Comcast network and capped at speed of 6.60, but was getting PB of 8.88 for several seconds.
I really miss that sustained speed of 8.88 and want it back badly. When I went to Comcast, they said the transition hadn't gone as smoothly as they hoped and that everyone was stuck at the normal speed of 6/384, with no other speed in sight. And that's just the beginning. Don't get me started on the lack of cable boxes. They've been out of them for weeks with no ETA on when they'll get more. So as of right now, I'm stuck with a malfunctioning Scientific-Atlanta 8300 when Comcast says they are going to switch every one of these out with a Motorola.
I don't think this is too good a service, do you? I'm thinking of dumping the DVR and saving $10 on a monthly cable bill until Comcast gets off their ass and get some working boxes in.
Good luck with your friends in Iraq. I hope they're safe.
