| [HELP] need advice to find a router that fit my needs
Hello every one, im looking for a cisco router, but i need some advice to buy it. The cisco curriculums academy, never said something about how many T1 can add to the router via modem(UTP CABLE) not a dedicated leased line, so i want to do this:
1.-I want to rent 5,10(supposition)internet lines, with a modem that give me 1024Kbps each of a line. 2.-I have a Wireless Base station outside that supports 10Mbps
3.-How i can attach all the lines to only one UTP FASTETHERNET cable and send the data to the base station?.
4.-Im thinking in a router that can support various WIC-UTP cards to send the traffic to other module of the same router with FASTETHERNET speed to send the data to the base station.
5.- How many WIC-UTP can support a router? 6.- The WIC-UTP, can support comunication with modem that my telecom company give me each time that i rent a line?.
i saw the 2600 and 3600 cisco router series, is very robust, but what you think.
Thanks for your time, thanks to answer. Ayax |

| How do the modems connect? Do they use ethernet?
If so, you could get a router with two fastethernet ports one connected to a managed switch, the other the wireless base station.
Then connect each modem to a different switch port, and tag the traffic from each port with a different VLAN and trunk it to the router.
(What are these modems connecting to? The internet, remote offices?) |

| reply to JTY Sorry, i forgot answer your doubt.
every modem will be connected directly to the ISP telecom company, on the network side, the modem will be connected with UTP cable to the switch.
thanks again, if this answer change the configuration, please letme know.
