regular customers were never at risk since the last 4 digits of the credit card number are the only thing stored on regular accounts....recurring accounts are something different though....

But you see, people jump to conclusions and then mass panic ensues. And then the mob mentality kicks and then there is nothing to stop the villagers with their pitch forks and torches.

But, from each article I have read dealing with this issue it is explained that the Cafe application "people" were hacked, not valve itself. Although this Maddox person tries to allude that he has indeed hacked Valve by expressing he has stolen several "free" games. Although my understanding of the article could be flawed.
