The record industry and personal computing industry should be totally separate. I still think Gates and Jobs should just ignore their complaint and just build great non-DRM infested OSes.

Well, not sure I can classify it as DRM, but the only "protection" that OSX has is that it will only install on a genuine Mac. It won't officially install on a generic Intel/AMD box, although there are "unofficial" ways around it. Unlike XP/Vista, however, you can burn as many copies of OSX DVD and load it on as many Macs as you desire.

That, however, is pointless today, since if you buy an Intel Mac, it comes with the latest version of Tiger anyway, and if you bought it a while earlier, all minor upgrades (i.e. 10.4.x) are free. It would be interesting to see if Apple will put any protection in their next major release (Leopard), which they will charge for.
