"Certified DRM-free" - conspicuously on each CD case - perhaps with instructions on how to rip the CD? DVD? HD-DVD?

That's actually a good idea. If you could form a company that does this and charge a nickle a CD you chould make something. I wouldn't trust Sony to certify their own CDs.
