koitsu : I am not pro-American in any way, but based on my experienced with numerous consumer/household router vendors (D-Link, Linksys, Netgear, SMC, and 3Com), I am very much against any Taiwanese company maintaining the firmware my router uses. The code is awful, bugs are everywhere, there's obviously no QA/testing done, and there's absolutely zero responsibility required for maintaining the product.

I often wonder how non-English-speaking/reading cultures can comprehend RFCs or technical specifications such as IP and TCP.
