anon : I remember that the Series 2 TiVOs 'kind of' had multi room viewing. I say 'kind of' because you had to actually transfer the recorded file from one DVR to another, rather than just streaming it. This is a big difference, especially because the Series 2 network connection (10 Mbps) couldn't keep up with realtime streaming anyway. It took hours to transfer an hour long show.

Also, by transferring the file rather than streaming it, you now have to worry about deleting old shows in multiple places. Just kinda awkward.
Menehune : Tell me if I'm understanding this correctly. We can't get a larger harddrive in our DVR. We don't have the option to buy our equipment instead renting. Many features are disabled on our STBs. When they almost enable a feature they have been bragging about from the beginning you have to pay extra. It's a simple software push that doesn't actually add anything only enable what is already there and we still have to pay extra and limited to a small HDD in our DVR. The software for the PC is limited to photos and MP3 type music files instead of movies and video. The PC software doesn't work with our STB unless we pay extra for the MRDVR even though it has nothing to do with another STB accessing the PC. Did I mention that this cost extra? I can't believe you guys are paying for this or even thinking about ordering this. I can almost live with the HD not being able to stream to the other STBs but this seems worthless. I'm very disappointed in this the more I read. I'm thinking about cancelling FiosTV. I know it sounds drastic but these things just keep piling up. Take a look at your HDDVR and tell me you can't see mounds of ideas that can't be used because they have been disabled and when something is almost enabled they want $6 a month more. This is all it does for $6 more? Wow....

Johny H : They tried to tell me I needed a new box also! But when they went to put the order in it was then they realized that it works on the 6426 box. The box is still on May 18 version 17.10 build. The thing that I am very, very, disappointed in is MediaManager is only supported on the silver 6426 box! I am considering cancelling based on that if they do not plan on supporting MediaManager on the other boxes.
