<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/1258021"><b>ryanburge</b></A> : So, after 45 minutes with the Tech Guy today she found out the problem. <br><br>She has been using a Switch instead of a Router. <br><br>For some reason it has been working for a couple months and now it doesn't. <br><br>Now, she can connect directly through the modem using IPconfig  /release /renew. <br><br>Hopefully, buying a router will fix the problem completely. <br><br>Thanks for the help guys. ]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/1258021"><b>ryanburge</b></A> : My girlfriend got back to her dorm and her internet wouldn't work, but<br>her roommate who was on the same connection, same router and modem, and<br>her computer worked fine.<br><br>I told her to restart her computer, reboot the router and modem. She<br>did that several times. Her roommates connection is fine, hers is not.<br><br>It says that she is connected. She can send packets, but not receive<br>them. She has an IP address and it says that she is connected.<br><br>"Your computer appears to configured properly but QIC is not receiving<br>a response from the server. Make sure your cable modem is plugged in to<br>the correct network port...blah blah blah."<br><br>She has Insight Broadband and they have been less than helpful.<br><br>The funny thing is- she goes to another person's house and plugs her<br>internet in and it works like a charm.<br><br>She is calling me every five minutes and I am at a loss.<br><br>Any help would be awesome. ]]></description>
