<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/933687"><b>Orbiting234</b></A> : No, the v5 does not really have new internals.  For all intents and purposes the v4 and v5 hardware is nearly identical.  They use the same Broadcom chips but some of the traces on the PCB seem to be a little different.  What it does sound like is that Linksys has gone from a Linux based firmware that they used on v1-v4 to a VxWorks based one for this new v5.  In otherwords, it might not be possible to use 3rd party firmwares anymore.]]></description>
