Correct. The standard package people were supposed to go to the Premier levels and those on Premier would be getting the new 16/2 tier speeds.

The TSR sent the new config file in less than a minute. The modem however did not recycle on its own. I unplugged modem and router. Did normal startup sequence. Did a speed test. Upload jumped from my normal 426 to 826; download only showed around 5000 from my normal 4700. I was transfered to Level 2. During testing by the tech, I was running my own tests. As I tested, the download kept creeping up.

So far, here is what I'm getting!

Problem is most server sites will not give you that. It will come to a point that it only helps you have multiple downloads going at once and not being slowed. Good to hear things are well with the SB5100 I recently bought one off of ebay in preparation for switching to Adelphia from Verizon in my area... When I called in they told me to call them back after August 15 when they will have new promotions out (and because it's when the current tenant disables their account). All I can is it better be better than their current promotions, and who knows maybe a side of Extreme with that package!

When they started rolling out the 6Mb tier, low download issues were present for people that had the SB5100 with firmware 1.1.1.1 and others who had old modems, etc. The majority of issues have been corrected. All in all it's good now for most.
