IGGY : How in fact did they not have anything do with your topic? Honestly the attitude you've taken puts me off even wanting to help further. Did you not state that you had a registration issue? Are you not in fact trying to hook up or fix a router being used on an Insight connection? All of those topics in fact gave you ways to troubleshoot a problem in regards to registration and a router when using Insight. The topic also covered issues others had run into in the past. And if my memory isn't to foggy - I think one of those issues sounded similar to yours. This is exactly why I'm helping less and less on this site. Next time I'll be sure to skip your thread - just as others seem to have done. I jumped in to try and help and it obviously wasn't appreciated.

The reason you were getting "speeds were god awful slow". Was most likely do to the router not being properly registered with Insight.

Now granted the post after mine if fact did state they were having problems in this regard for an evening. So this very well may be why you experienced your problem. And this could very well explain why it "solved itself". This fact was not known to me at the time of my post. I also have no insider to pass this type of information to me. So I gave you what I thought would be helpful information with tips on further troubleshooting the issue.

The listed links were definitely worth looking at in regards to your issue. And far from not being related to what you were experiencing.
--
Test Your Security Cable Diagnostics
Iggyz Blog ZoneAlarm Help

Registration issue

JMD6687 : My friend recently bought a powerbook g4 and before we went out and bought a wireless router I had hooked it up to her cable modem and set up insightbb to allow her to use the internet and everything. Well I hooked her modem back up to her computer and set up the router later that night and after awhile we noticed that the speeds were god awful slow (like 5 kbps). Did some troubleshooting and decided to rebuild the network from scratch. When I hooked up the modem to the PC again and reset it as the primary computer using SAS there was still a huge drop in speed (like 500 or so kbps from 2000 before) and it asks me to reregister the computer every now and then. The SAS screen jumps to "youve been registered" without any other options anymore. Ive been troubleshooting it for hours and am out of ideas as to what might be the problem. Anyone have any ideas? Or should I call insight

Belkin 802.11g Wireless DSL/Cable Gateway Router
Some typical Insightbb RCA modem

Appreciate any help a.s.a.p.
