<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/0"><b>anon</b></A> : upstream between 40 and 50... makes no difference.. between 35 and 55 will give you the same connection as 40 and 50... it will go offline below 24 or a above 60..  the 30-55 range is to make sure that you have a little room for slight variations in the amplifiers due to temperature change, etc.<br><br>I'd suspect your router, or the vonage box... just an edumacated guess.  it really looks like its on your side.  If the modem lights show that its online, the modem is online. If it were a line quality issue, if the noise was bad enough to disconnect you from vonage or your vcn software, the modem would be blinking/ranging away.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/0"><b>anon</b></A> : the problem is odd.<br>lights on modem indicate no loss of cable modem sync<br>you've used different router and pc.<br><br>here are my suggestions<br>you've mentioned that you have vonage.  If the vonage box is in line between the modem and router, i would suspect it.<br><br>If the vonage box is in line between the router and pc, I'd suspect it.<br><br>If the set up is cable modem-->router---then one line to pc and other to vonage.... I would stop suspecting the vonage box, it shouldn't be able to interfere if connected this way.<br><br>The other possibility is that your ethernet cord(s) are going bad (bad connections, etc)... OR that the ethernet port coming out of your modem is bad.<br><br>Hope these suggestions help you narrow it down.<br><br>-J]]></description>

Tech Support said the node is running at 100% during peak hours (6pm-12am).  They said it will take time for them to divide the node to eliminate the problem.  The maintenance the other night has done nothing for the speeds.  DSL is looking better and better by the day....]]></description>

My internet connection seems to drop a few times a day, however the Cable Modem lights don't indicate a connection lose. When making a Vonage call, my call will disconnect. Also when using remote desktop to my work computer, I will get disconnected and have to reconnect (a major pain).<br><br>I have had the cable company come out and look at it a couple of times but no luck so far.
