anon : Hi,

I have a D-Link DI-624+ router and a G-520+ wireless card. When the computer and the router are in the same room, the signal strength is steady on 80%, the link quality is around 80-90% and the Tx rate is stable on 54Mbps.

When I put the router in another room (where it's supposed to be), the signal strength drops to 60% and link quality to 70%. The Tx rate then constantly fluctuates between 54 and down to 2Mbps (and disconnections).

Is 60% signal strength considered weak? Is that what causes the disconnections and the Tx to be unstable?

thanks,
Elad.
