You're essentially being paid as an informant.<br><br>They're paying you to report if a sleazy shop slipped you a Singapore special instead of a legit copy of XP with your computer.  I guess that's a fairly nice thing to do, as it's not your fault that the shop sold you a counterfeit.<br><br>The other $149 discounted price for pirates is kind of outrageous though.  It basically encourages piracy, because now, instead of paying $200 for the legit copy of XP at a store, I can go to Times Square, buy an "OEM" (wink) version of XP for $10 and get a legit copy for a grand total of $159.     Yeah, that makes so much sense.]]></description>
