<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/511636"><b>Cybertoad</b></A> : It can be made to work on Vonage using slower speeds<br>and using the "High Quality" code as a prefix.  <br><br>I just setup a DirecTV TIVO unit on Vonage about two<br>months ago using this type of configuration<br><br>As for Packet8 -- not sure and couldn't tell you.<br>I do know that Packet8 doesn't presently support<br>all the CODECs as Vonage and that could possibly<br>be an issue.   In a nutshell, your VoIP line would<br>need to be able of sustaining fax or analog modem<br>transmissions.   If those work then TIVO will work.]]></description>

Using an inexpensive wireless bridge I an able get the programing schedule information over the internet with no problems.  I even was able to do the initial setup call when I upgraded my hard drive.<br><br>9thTee sells the TurboNet cards.]]></description>

I think it depends on your broadband connection as to how stable your call is.I've used brighthouse and knology and have never missed more than 2 days although I manually start the call and sometimes have to recall several times to complete it.I have a series 1 sony svr-2000 and set the call to include 1+ area code. ]]></description>
