ebman : Had the same issue as many have had here with the speed upgrade not occurring as promised. I left a message on the SBC direct forum on Friday around noon. When I arrived home at 4pm my DSL and network was not working at all. I assumed that they may have tested the line so I rebooted everything. Jumped on here to find out I already had a message back. It appears, at least in my case, that the date I was told on the phone was not the same date they had on the work order. I called on a Wed and was told it would be up by the next Wednesday. It was actually two weeks according to the message I had back. I was told he would get it handled within a few hours. He was correct. I tested the line and I am running about 2500 down and over 400 up. I am very impressed with the quick response I received. Thank you to SBC for giving me over 5 years of DSL service with no problems. Hopefully everybody else gets their issues resolved as quickly as I did.
