Up until lately, I haven't had any complaints about the service but lately it seems internet lookups are very slow. I suspected some DNS issue as sites that used to load very quickly are now taking a loooonnnnnggggggg time to load. Like Boston.com for instance. I notice as the home page tries to load that in the status bar, many site addresses which are not related to Boston.com come and go. Then, finally the page loads. Since I have made no changes and my system has plenty of RAM and the cache is clean, I know it is an issue with Verizon's network. What is "Speakeasy"? I've heard of addictions to this and that, But It's the first time I've ever heard of money being addictive, But Verizon must feel they can stand It, Maybe the NE is a big experiment? So who knows, Maybe Verizon will let everyone who want to drop their voice service and keep their DSL, Me I have DSL, But I'll keep mine as I don't have any VoIP type equipment nor a cell phone yet. Besides It's cheaper for Me as My combined Phone and DSL bill rarely exceeds $50.00 per month, Last month It was $44.66.
