The modems they are selling here are RCA DCM425 (I think).
according to the work orders, they are $39.95 and as far as I know, if you ever have a problem with it, as long as you still have their service, Insight will warrant it. When did they drop modem prices this low? Is this a used unit? In the past I think $99.95 was quoted in regards to buying a modem from Insight. You can buy a new SB5100 much cheaper than that price. I was also under the impression that Insight was Arris happy. But I'm sure like everything else - this can vary from area to area.

Also if you buy your own modem. There is a manufacturers warranty. But it is for a limited amount of time.
