The engineer that I deal with at mounet called it in this morning and it should be fixed sometime today. As far as them shutting off fastpath, I don't think they will. If they do, Ill just email mounet again and I bet they will open another ticket with Sprint. At under 5000 line feet from the CO, I don't see any reason for them to deny fastpath.
Hobyboyz : Hey DSLTECH I have one question for you about Fastpath and Interleave. Maybe you can get an answer for me or us on this issue from one of the engineers. Its my understanding that interleave is turned on for error correction purposes. But what I dont understand is why? There is a model set in place on systems called The OSI Model that takes care of error correction of network packets. To get into more detail Layer 2, Data Link, detects errors and Layer 4, Transport Layer, corrects errors of network packets. So, with this why have interleave turned on if the OSI Model is already taking care of this within a system? If the Interleave slows down a packet time then it should be off and fastpath on. The error correction would be taken care of within The OSI Model.

gh4456 : Yes, It is an easy mistake as the entire provision for the DSLAM is deleted and rebuilt and if they don't enter a speed in for the upstream, then it defaults to 8000. Obviously you can't connect at 8000 (even though I have seen some 8Mx8M connections) so it connects at whatever speed it can handle.

You will need to contact your ISP to have it fixed =)

You may try contacting tech support directly, but you may get turned away, but then again maybe not, if you are just reporting that you provisioned incorrectly.

DSL Tech
