rogue238 : First of all, I'll say I'm sorry up front. Don't mean to sound harsh, but, this is the most retarted question I've come across. Let me get this straight-since your neighbor pays for cable and allows you to run a line to receive service also-is this theft-YES. If your neighbors went to a movie at the local cinema, and paid to get in-you decide you would like to see it too-so they open up the fire escape door to let you in-would that be theft, illegal, or morally wrong..Hmmm, yep all three. I hope they don't find out who you are-cuz your neighbor would have to plead ignorance to keep from getting disconnected (or charged) as well. Good luck

Yes of course it is Theft,.. Did you have to ask? I think the question you're really trying to get answered is the likely hood of you getting caught. Honestly I don't think you are very prone to getting "caught" for this,.. and as someone else mentioned you would probably just have connection cut, and/or an option to subscribe to Charter (IE: pay a bill), or otherwise be taken to court on charges, or I suppose stop what you are doing.

While it may not seem like a big deal, the potential IS there to incur criminal charges for something as petty as cable theft.

The decision is yours to make,.. You know what is right. ;)
