And they are probably running on a great SBC connection.:) Actually they may be using fiber themselves. If they are located in the city of Springfield ( the state capital ). Our city has tons of fiber running around for city and state use. Which is run by the local city owned electric company. »www.cwlp.com/Electric_division/f···tion.htm

About a mile or half mile around the corner from my home. We have an intersection where they used this fiber to light up turn lanes for one of our busiest intersections. But do you think they will provide me with broadband? Nope. They want their yearly fees they get from Insight Communications and SBC. The study they did a few years ago. Stated that it would be to expensive to start a city provided broadband initiative. Our new mayor doesn't even seem to care or have a clue about the subject honestly. Probably because his home is hooked to the city fiber network. lol.
--
Test Your Security

Cable Diagnostics
Iggyz Blog ZoneAlarm Help
