The Google model is built on the soundest of search engine policies: Revenue comes with search volume, and search volume comes from providing the searcher with the best possible result set. Any bias in that result set will result in migration to other search engines, and they understand it. Google search will never be perfect, but they spend a ton on finding ways to make it continuously better to attract the traffic.
